Kuala Lumpur

SOLD

I was given a project to come out with a few drawings that represents Malaysia and I chose Kuala Lumpur.
Kuala Lumpur, is the largest city in Malaysia and it is also the cultural and economic centre of Malaysia due to its position as the capital as well as being a primate city. The city has also developed into an international shopping destination with a wide variety of shopping centres and mega malls which carry well-known global and local brands. The above painting is painted using the oil pastel, my very first time with the material. It's tough but like what they say, no pain no gain. The outcome is basically out of my expectation. The space, colors and most importantly the use of black outlines really works. I must say, I love using black outlines for all my artworks and not forgetting the young, vibrant and colorful touch for every objects in it.
